Coach Rice was the first of three Fox sprint siblings to come through Fort Collins High School and they all made a great impact on the track program. Laurie, Megan, and Brian all earned state titles, and two team state championships were brought home for the Lambkins under the Fox era. Coach Rice still holds two FCHS school records in the 100m and 200m sprints. Laurie earned a full track scholarship to attend Penn State University. There, she was a two-time team captain, a member of the school record setting 4x100 meter team, and a part of the 4x100 meter relay that competed at the National Championship meet in 2003. After graduating, she came back to Fort Collins where she has been coaching the Lambkins since 2004 and shares her sprinting knowledge with her athletes. Laurie is a Language Arts teacher at Collins.
